Stop Throwing Your Used Gloves And Masks In Parking Lots! First Offense Fine Could Cost You $5,500! (INFO)
The Swampscott Police have a message for anyone who is discarding their used gloves and masks in public in Massachusetts… “THIS IS A CRIME!!
UNLAWFUL DISPOSAL OF TRASH and the first offense is finable up to $5,500.”
It’s pretty sad that people have been doing this, considering the whole reason we are wearing gloves and masks is to prevent the spread of the coronavirus! Props to the Swampscott Police Department for posting this reminder and attaching the Massachusetts Law that could cost you up to $5,500 for your first offense of this law if you are caught.
These store workers are putting themselves in harm’s way to make sure we have food and supplies to get us through this pandemic. Why should they have to clean up these discarded gloves and masks?! Most of these stores have trash cans outside.
If you can remember your gloves, you can remember to bring a bag to discard them in when you come out of the store.
