In a recent interview, Jeremih got candid about what happened when while he was fighting for his life after catching coronavirus.
Per Page Six, he said that he was in such bad shape that he doesn’t even remember the day he went into the hospital. He also says his mother had to show him photos to jar his memory.
Jeremih states, “I had the tube down my throat for about a week and a half. I was really, like, in a dream, and I ain’t gonna lie, I woke up about two times and all I remember is just seeing a white light. All my organs became inflamed. My heart went out, stopped beating and started beating irregularly. My kidneys went out, my liver started to fail.”
He then explains that the reason the virus hit him so hard was because he developed a rare multiple inflammatory syndrome, which is a cause and effect of COVID-19.
After getting discharged, Jeremih had to learn how to walk and eat again. But looking back, he called the whole ordeal a blessing. He lastly said, “As crazy as it might sound because I needed to sit down. I needed to take a break. It’s been one long party.”
