Husband and wife team TJ and Hadley Douglas took their love of wine and progressive style and decided to bring a wine store specializing in their signature Progressive Scale to the South End of the city, where the Urban Grape was born.
A modern wine shop that organizes wines by body instead of by region, allows visitors, whether a wine novice or connoisseur, to discover new wines outside their comfort zones.
This style of store is the very first of it’s kind, and quickly became one of the most successful independently owned wine store in the United States.
Offering wines from all over the world, Urban Grape has a style for everyone. Whether you desire sparkling, white, red, rose, or anything in between, Urban Grape has a wine to pair with anyone.
For the past ten years, The Urban Grape has made quite the name for itself, winning accolades both locally and nationally including Best of Boston 2020, Beverage Dynamics Top 100 Retailers, Wine Enthusiast Wine Star Award 2020 Nominee, and Thrillist Local Heroes 2020.
