Watertown, Mass Hometown Boy Alexander Richards Rows for US
Harvard University graduate and Watertown, Massachusetts native, Alexander Richards says he grew up in a house decorated with boat house paintings and old wooden oars on the walls, according to row2k.com. He goes on to say that both parents were rowers in college, so it seemed like a natural fit once he started at the Belmont Hill School in Belmont, Massachusetts.
Richards already boasts a number of awards from the likes of the USIndoor national Rowing Championship, the IRA Championships, USRowing Youth National Championships, World Rowing Junior Championships. Taking part in his first Olympics in Tokyo, he’ll compete in the Men’s Eight race on Friday, July 30th at 10:25am Eastern Time.
