Man Arrested After Issuing Bomb Threat At Tyler Perry Studios
A man has been arrested after issuing a bomb threat at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia Friday (May 13), Vibe reports. The studio received a phone call from the man who was later identified as Rasheed Coles, demanding to speak to Perry in a disgruntled tone and issuing terrorist threats. When the receptionist refused to let Cole speak to Perry, he reportedly began speaking gibberish. The studio blocked the number Coles’ called on but it was later discovered that the bomb threat was left as a voicemail. The studio immediately called the local police and a report was filed.
Coles was arrested and sent to Fulton County Jail after being charged with a felony. He later was released on a $5,000 bond.
After his release, Cole took to Instagram and claimed the reasoning behind his behavior was because Perry allegedly stole his “Black Wall Street” television series idea from him.
“I was arrested by TYLER PERRY STUDIOS FOR TERRORISTIC THREATENING,” he wrote under a photo of the police report. “The question is IF I threatened them then WHY? THEY TRYING TO STEAL MY TV SERIES? BLACK WALL STREET.”
Under a post of his mugshot, he declared, “WAIT TILL I TELL MY SIDE MR. THIEF PERRY. They will pay.”
