50 Cent Drags Rick Ross Into Diddy Drama Over Controversial Lyric
50 Cent is dragging Rick Ross into Diddy’s drama by bringing up an old lyric of The Boss’ that did not age well. Over the last three weeks, Diddy has been accused of four sexual assaults in the past with the latest one coming to light yesterday (Dec. 7). The Power creator took to social media to once again antagonize the “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” rapper as he compared one oh his controversial lyrics to Diddy’s case.
50 posted a screenshot of Ross’ 2013 “U.O.E.N.O” lyrics Wednesday (Dec. 6) with the caption: “WTF at some point you gotta just do the right thing.”
The controversial lyric is: “Put molly all in her champagne, she ain’t even know it/ I took her home and I enjoyed that, she ain’t even know it.” With the clear lack of consent and drugging aspect of the lyric it hurt Ross’ career. He lost an endorsement with Reebok due to backlash with the song.
“Reebok holds our partners to a high standard and we expect them to live up to the values of our brand. Unfortunately, Rick Ross has failed to do so,” Reebok said in a statement at the time.
He eventually released a statement about the song, apologizing for his lyrics.
“Most recently, my choice of words was not only offensive, it does not reflect my true heart,” Ross wrote in a statement reported by Billboard at the time. “And for this, I apologize.”
This is the second time 50 has come for Ross this week. Earlier this week 50 called out the Miami rapper and Meek Mill for their joint album Too Good To Be True.
“If you sell 31,009 CDs, I shouldn’t talk to you,” 50 says in the video. He captioned the post on Instagram, “31,009 the first week,” along with a laughing emoji.
Rick Ross Responds To 50 Cent
Rick Ross responded to 50 in a video and warned the “Many Men” rapper that he shouldn’t speak too much on it since his girlfriend Cuban Link is allegedly signed to Meek’s label Dreamchasers.
“Just got a DM say, ‘Rozay, we believe 50 Cent just made a comment about you online,'” Ross said. “I seen it, and I said, ‘Y’all don’t know 50 Cent like I do. He wouldn’t do that.’ For one, his bitch Dreamchasers. She been a Dreamchasers bitch for many years, still is. That’s when she told me I was her favorite.”
He continued: “For two, n—-, we been rich. We still getting money. Them n—– was laughing at my first-week sales. Them n—– was doing a million and I did 150, 180 and they was laughing but… You smell that saltwater, right? Don’t let them n—– trick you.”
