Are you a Netflix binge watcher? If so, you probably contributed to this list in some way. Netflix has just come out with its user data for the first half of 2023 and it's based on hours of each series/movie viewed. This is not like the streaming platform which has been notoriously tight lipped about its data. The biggest title for Netflix in the first half of 2023 is The Night Agent racking up 812.1 million hours of viewing. The rest of the top 10 is listed below:

1.  "The Night Agent" Season 1:  812.1 million hours.

2.  "Ginny & Georgia" Season 2:  665.1 million hours.

3.  "The Glory" Season 1:  622.8 million hours.

4.  "Wednesday" Season 1:  507.7 million hours.

5.  "Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story":  503 million hours.

6.  "You" Season 4:  440.6 million hours.

7.  "La Reina del Sur" Season 3:  429.6 million hours.

8.  "Outer Banks" Season 3:  402.5 million hours.

9.  "Ginny & Georgia" Season 1:  302.1 million hours.

10.  "FUBAR" Season 1:  266.2 million hours.

No word when the second half data will be released but this seems to be a good gauge of the type of content that has taken over the streaming platform. It seems as if original series and movies dominate viewership for Netflix with about 55 percent of viewing was for originals and 45 percent was for licensed shows and films.

Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos has said he is trying to take steps toward Netflix being more transparent with its data. Previously he had said “It wasn’t in our interest to be that transparent because we were building a new business, and we didn’t want to give any competitors a roadmap. Creators liked it too, because they were free from the pressure of ratings.”

So what do you think of this list? Have you viewed all of these? How about any? Are you on trend with what the average viewer is watching on the streaming platform? We'll see what the new year brings for the streaming platform.

9 New November Netflix Releases To Be Thankful For This Holiday Season

Nothing like a new month. It's a feeling of possibilities and adventures. It's also a time to be thankful for the new November Netflix releases. Some you've probably been waiting for, and others that may become your new favorites.

But first, October

Before we get to the November releases, there were definitely some standout new releases in October.

I haven't seen it yet, but Beckham is getting a lot of love. It's a four-part documentary series that tells the story of football superstar David Beckham. The documentary follows the ups and downs of his life, including his humble beginnings to global sensation. Beckham also includes lots of never-before-seen footage.

Big Mouth is back! Season 7 dropped on October 20th proving by its popularity that cartoons are not just for kids. The eighth and final season will be out in 2024. Looks like it will go out on top as the series has a 99% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Pain Hustlers is an original film starring Emily Blunt, Chris Evans, and Andy Garcia. The film follows a single mother who gets caught up with a shady pharmaceutical rep and ends up a part of a major racketeering scheme.

If you're a big Kdrama (Korean show) fan like I am, October was a big month for us.  There were the big releases of: Castaway Diva starring Eun Park Bin from Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Doona!, and Strong Girl Nam-Soon. And if you're not into Kdramas, you can check out this starter guide here. I promise you, once you start, you won't be able to stop. I'm also going to need up update that list. I've watched so many since then.

The "scariest film of the year" hit Netflix on October 26th. That's what critics at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival said about Talk to Me. It's directed by YouTubers and twins Danny and Michael Philippou. It's about a 17-year-old named Mia who finds herself at the center of multiple supernatural events. She then accidently unleashes terrifying supernatural forces.

And those are just a few of the October offerings on Netflix.
