Metro Boomin Teases Future Collab Amid Drake Beef
Metro Boomin is not letting social media drama with Drake get in the way of his highly anticipated album with Future.
“Coming Soon [eagle emoji x3],” the Grammy-nominated producer tweeted on Tuesday (Dec. 19) with a photo of Future in the studio attached.

The producer did not give an exact date on when fans should expect the album.
Fans went into the comment section to give their opinion on the Metro/Drake drama and the anticipation for the project.
“Metro really got full custody of Future from Drake,” one fan wrote, as Future also has a joint project with Drake.
“I’ve started to hate the word Soon,” another fan chimed in, calling the producer out for his vagueness.
“WE READY,” a fan excitedly responded.
Metro Boomin & Drake Drama
In a since-deleted tweet, Metro responded to a tweet comparing the streaming numbers of Her Loss and his 2022 album Heroes & Villains. According to the tweet, Heroes & Villains has twice the amount of streaming numbers daily compared to Her Loss. In addition, the tweet claimed that Heroes & Villains had the most streams (3.7 billion) of any other rap album since 2018. Looking at the data behind Heroes & Villians seemingly struck a nerve with the producer, prompting him to tweet.
“Yet Her Loss keeps winning rap album of the year over H&V,” Metro wrote in a since-deleted tweet. “Proof that award shows are just politics and not for me. Idc about awards honestly, the true award and REWARD is knowing that the music I spend so much time on brings joy to people’s everyday lives.”
Drake Responds To Metro’s Tweet
Drake unfollowed Metro and then responded during a livestream for Stake, an online casino for which he is a spokesperson.
“To the rest of you — the non-believers, the underachievers, the tweet and deleters — you guys make me sick to my stomach, fam,” Drizzy said in the video. “Look at my eyes — you guys wanna do something? That’s what I thought.”
In the part where Drake says, “tweet and deleters,” fans believe he is referring to Metro deleting his tweet about him, which started the beef.
Metro responded to Drake on Monday (Dec. 18) by reposting the “Whoa, Calm Down Jamal, Don’t Pull Out the 9” video. The video is a skit about Black people interacting with racist white people (who are played by Black people) on a basketball court. When a joke is heard off camera, one of the Black actors portraying a white person delivers the line: “Whoa, calm down, Jamal, don’t pull out the 9.” “The “9” refers to a 9mm gun.
