YG & Saweetie Reportedly Break Up
YG and Saweetie are reportedly no longer a couple, according to The Shade Room. A source told the outlet that the split is mutual and that they are “both busy with their careers, and that’s where their focus is at this time.”
The two sparked dating rumors as they were seen hanging out at Coachella last year. The two never publicly declared they were dating but were seen on romantic getaways captured by paparazzi.
Before the reported break up, the couple was supposed to go on the road together for the Str8 to the Klub Tour along with Tyga as co-headliners. The tour was set to start September 21, 2023, starting in Sacramento. Kamaiyah, Wallie The Sensei, and DJ Vision were to be the opening acts. However, a little more than a week before the tour was scheduled to start on September 10, 2023, fans received a notification that the tour was canceled. There was no explanation for the tour cancellation, but Tyga and YG released a joint EP Hit Me When U Leave the Klub: The Playlist on September 29, 2023, to seemingly make it up to fans.
Saweetie & YG’s Past Relationships
Before dating YG, Saweetie was dating Migos rapper Quavo. She and Quavo called it quits after it was alleged that Quavo was being unfaithful.
“I’m single,” Saweetie wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter) at the time. “I’ve endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes for a false narrative to be circulating that degrades my character. Presents don’t band aid scars and the love isn’t real when the intimacy is given to other women.”
She added: “I emotionally checked out a long time ago and have walked away with a deep sense of peace and freedom. Excited for this new chapter of elevation.”
As for YG, he was previously in a relationship with Kehlani in 2019 and broke up in 2020. The R&B singer addressed the break up on “Valentine’s Day (Shameful),” which was released a day after Valentine’s Day in 2020. A drunken kiss between YG and a fan is to be believed as the cause of his and Kehlani’s break up.
