This is the second achievement that Beyoncé has made this year. With the release of “Texas Hold ‘Em” in February, she became the first Black woman to debut at No. 1 on the Country chart.
Beyoncé Gears Up For New Album
Well, if you love “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carraiges,” the second single that Beyoncé released, which debuted at No. 9, there is more where that came from as Act II is underway. The Renaissance creator announced Act II of the trilogy during her Verizon ad that premiered during the Super Bowl.
In the Verizon ad, she tries to break the internet and ends with (actually breaking the internet): “OK, they ready — drop the new music. I told y’all the ‘Renaissance’ is not over,” she concluded.
Besides the two singles and the release date of March 29, nothing else has been confirmed by the singer. However, there has been a lot of speculation, including a feature from Taylor Swift.
Killah B, who wrote and produced on one of the singer’s newest singles, “Texas Hold ‘Em,” spoke to TMZ of the possibility of a Swift collaboration for Renaissance: Act II.
“You gonna have to wait and see,” he said, adding, “Let’s just say she is on the approach of shocking the world. I’ll let your imagination decide what that means.”
However, a source told Entertainment Weekly that Swift will not be on the new Beyoncé record. We’ll just have to wait to see on release day.
Renaissance: Act II will arrive on March 29. Listen to “Texas Hold ‘Em,” below:
