6 Black Christmas Movies to Watch This Holiday Season
As we slowly approach Christmas, some of us may be having time off and looking for Christmas movies to watch while in the house. Of course, for some, the traditional Black Christmas movies always do the trick every holiday season. But, what are some of the best movies to watch?
Although the debate continues every year to determine the best Black Christmas movie and best versions of some of our favorite Christmas songs, we’re still able to enjoy them both. But, since we have to pick then we decided to share this list of some of the best Black Christmas movies that you should watch. So, grab that remote, some popcorn, and Christmas cookies, and enjoy!
10 Black Christmas Movies You MUST Watch
- The Best Man Holiday: Of course, this had to make the list. The 2013 film, came 15 years after the group first got together in the 1999 film The Best Man. The friend group reunites for the holidays and brings back some of the nostalgia from the original film.
- This Christmas: The 2007 film that brought us Chris Brown’s version of “This Christmas,” is one of the must-watch films of the holiday season. As the family gathers and drama strikes, it comes down to them all coming together to have the best holiday for the entire family.
- A Madea Christmas: If you are looking for a good laugh, then of course a Madea film will do you well. The 2013 film follows Madea as she travels to her niece’s daughter’s small town for the holidays.
- The Perfect Holiday: If you’re really looking for a good laugh, then this 2007 film is one of those go to for many of us. Gabrielle Union, Queen Latifah, Katt Williams, Charlie Murphy, and more all in one film is one for a good laugh. The youngest daughter of a divorced mother hatches a plan to cheer her mom up during the holidays with her wish to Santa!
- Last Holiday: In 2006, Queen Latifah gave us a fun holiday movie with The Last Holiday. The film takes us on the adventure other traveling to Europe to live it up after learning she has a terminal illness.
- Friday After Next: Now, here’s one that many consider to be a wild holiday movie. It’s the 3rd installment of the hood classic Friday series. Watch the Ghetto Santa Claus steal everything and make his way to ruin yet another weekend for Craig and Day-Day and everyone in the hood.
