BermudAir to Begin Flights to and From Rhode Island’s TF Green in May 2025
Air travelers will soon be able to fly to Bermuda from Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport.
The Rhode Island Airport Corp. (RIAC) announced on Thursday, Feb. 6, that BermudAir will begin nonstop service to Bermuda’s L.F. Wade International Airport during the spring of 2025. BermudAir will offer the year-round service twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays beginning on May 22, 2025.
“Bermuda and New England have always shared a special connection, and we’re thrilled to make travel between the two even more convenient,” BermudAir CEO Adam Scott said in a media statement shared with WPRI. “With this new nonstop route, Rhode Islanders can swap the mainland for an island escape in just a few short hours, enjoying the relaxation, adventure, and rich culture Bermuda has to offer.”
Jonathan N. Savage, board chair of the Rhode Island Airport Corp., said the new service will also allow Bermudans “an opportunity to enjoy their own ‘Rhode Island getaway’ and enjoy all that New England has to offer.”
BermudAir will begin its service using a 70-seat Embraer 175 twin-engine jet and will eventually incorporate the 96-seat Embraer 190 into its fleet.
According to a Providence Journal report, customs inspectors in Bermuda will prescreen travelers flying to Rhode Island from Bermuda to streamline their arrival back in the Ocean State. T.F. Green International Airport has international customs screening staffed by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents for all other travelers.
