14th Annual Nantucket Book Festival to Feature Bob Woodward, Pulitzer Prize-Winning Authors
Pulitzer Prize-winning authors and critically acclaimed authors will headline the 14th annual Nantucket Book Festival, June 12 to 15.
Featured authors will include two-time Pulitzer Prize winner and investigative journalist Bob Woodward; No. 1 New York Times best-selling author Carl Hiaasen of the novel “Bad Monkey”; Ocean Vuong, a critically acclaimed poet and best-selling author of “The Emperor of Gladness”; and Wally Lamb, two-time Oprah’s Book Club author of “I Know This Much Is True” and the forthcoming novel “The River Is Waiting.”
In addition to these renowned authors, the festival will also host emerging novelists such as Meenakshi Ahamed, Richard Cary, and Jason Reynolds.
During the four-day festival, attendees can participate in author readings, panel discussions, and social events that connect writers with their readers. Most Nantucket Book Festival events are presented free and are accessible within walking distance of the ferries.
Books by participating authors will be available at Mitchell’s Book Corner on Main Street in Nantucket. The books will also be in the bookstore’s official 2025 Nantucket Book Festival display, on the shelves at Nantucket Bookworks, and in the Nantucket Antheneum. A full book festival event schedule and tickets for the Author Dinner on Friday, June 13, will be available soon on the festival’s website.
The literary fun doesn’t end when the book festival concludes. On July 31, The Blue Bistro Bash featuring author Elin Hildebrand will take place to benefit the festival. Held at the Nantucket Hotel & Resort, the event will begin with a “Read the Runway” Fashion Show, a live auction, book signing, and cocktails inspired by Hildebrand’s novel “The Blue Bistro.” Tickets for the event are available now, and this event will sell out.
The Nantucket Book Festival, operating under the nonprofit Nantucket Book Foundation, is a major summer destination for book lovers. Each year, the festival promotes and celebrates the art of reading and writing.
