Brookline Ranked Among the Best Places to Live in America
A new quality of life ranking from Niche has named Brookline the 14th best community to live in in the United States for 2025.
Brookline received an overall Niche grade of A+, with the same grade in the subcategories of “public schools, nightlife, and good for families.” According to a Patch of Brookline report, by claiming the 14th spot, Brookline is now the highest-ranked of the four Massachusetts municipalities. Cambridgeport, Riverside, and Cambridge were ranked 22nd, 56th, and 77th, respectively.
Niche praises Brookline, home of the famed Coolidge Corner Theatre, for the community’s abundance of bars, coffee shops, parks, and restaurants.
Now in its 11th year, the Niche ranking helps people from all walks of life decide where to live. The report analyzes cities and communities of various sizes, including cities with populations of 100,000 or more, suburbs, and neighborhoods.
