Contest Rules

For the ‘Win Tickets to Usher' Online Contest, enter between 10:00am (ET) on Tuesday, February 6, 2024and 11:59pm (ET) on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 by visiting the 'Contests' page on HOT969Boston.com, and completing the online entry form. At or around 10:30AM (ET) on Thursday, August 22, 2024 up to a maximum of one (1) winner will be randomly selected. Upon verification, winner will receive one (1) pair of tickets to Usher on August 27, 2024 at TD Garden in Boston, MA. The prize is valued at approximately $200, courtesy of HOT 96.9 and Live Nation.

USHER ON-AIR GIVEAWAY

OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

These rules apply to the Usher On-Air Giveaway (“Contest”) conducted by Beasley Media Group, LLC d/b/a WBQT-FM (“Station”). In addition, the General Contest Rules posted at hot969boston.com apply to this Contest. If there is a conflict between the General Contest Rules and the Rules for this Contest, the Rules for this Contest shall control.

 

  1. HOW TO ENTER
  1. The Contest will begin on Monday, March 4, 2024 and end on Friday, March 8, 2024.
  1. To participate in the Contest, listen to the Station each weekday beginning on Monday, March 4, 2024 and ending on Friday, March 8, 2024 between the hours of 7:00am Eastern Time (“ET”) and 7:00pm ET for an Usher song (“Song”) to begin to air. When you hear the Song begin to air, text the keyword “USHER” to 833-973-0969. Message and data rates may be charged by your wireless carrier. The Station is not responsible for any fees incurred by you for this method of entry. Text message and any mobile device entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the mobile account submitted at the time of entry. The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the text or mobile telephone number by a telecommunications provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning such numbers. By initiating a text message to the Station in this Contest, you also expressly consent to the receipt of a reply message confirming your entry and notification via text if you are selected to be a winner.

 

  1. Only one (1) entry per person per Song airing is permitted. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same telephone number. Entrants are not permitted to use multiple telephone numbers. The deadline to enter is ten (10) minutes after the Song begins to air. Any text message entries received after ten (10) minutes past the beginning of the Song or any text message entries with the incorrect Keyword will be disqualified.

 

  1. Only airings of songs where Usher is the main artist will be considered cues to enter. Songs where Usher is a featured artist will not be considered cues to enter.
  2. There will be up to a total of five (5) Prize winners selected in the Contest.

 

  1. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS
  1. This Contest is open to all Station listeners who are 18 years of age or older as of the date of entry into the Contest, who are legal US residents and reside in Massachusetts, New Hampshire or Rhode Island, except where prohibited by law. Winners must possess a valid, government-issued ID and show proof of residency to verify eligibility.

 

  1. PRIZES
  1. Up to five (5) Prizes will be awarded in this Contest.  Each Prize consists of two (2) tickets (valid for winner and one (1) guest) to Usher at TD Garden in Boston, MA on August 27, 2024. Approximate Retail Value of each Prize is $200.00.

The winner will be solely responsible for all taxes and all other fees and expenses not specified herein associated with the receipt and use of the prize(s). The prize(s) is awarded as is. Tickets valid only on the date(s) printed on the tickets. Tickets are not refundable or transferable, and may not be substituted or exchanged for cash or credit at any time, nor will tickets be replaced if lost or stolen. Tickets may not be sold to a third party. If a prize-related event is unable to take place as scheduled, for reasons such as cancellation, preemption, postponement or unavailability, including for weather, or for any reason beyond control of the Station and/or prize provider, their sole responsibility to the winner(s) will be to award the remaining available elements of the prize(s) and no substitution or compensation will be provided for the unawarded element(s) of the prize(s). The Station and/or venue, in their sole discretion, reserve the right to deny entry to or to remove the winner(s) and/or guest(s) if either engages in disruptive behavior, does not follow Station and/or venue policy regarding COVID-19 guidelines, or in a manner with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person at the prize-related event. Winner understands that there are inherent risks involved in attending the prize-related event.

  1. Prizes or prize certificates must be claimed at the office of the Station located at 1075 Main Street, Suite 300, Waltham, MA 02451, Monday-Friday, during regular business hours. Prize or prize certificate must be claimed within one (1) day of winning. Failure to claim Prize by the specified time will result in forfeiture of the prize. It is the winner’s sole responsibility to claim the Prize or prize certificate within the timeline provided in these Official Rules.

 

  1. SELECTION OF WINNERS
  1. Up to five (5) Prize winners will be selected as follows:

Up to one (1) Prize winner will be selected at approximately 7:00pm ET each weekday beginning on Monday, March 4, 2024 and ending on Friday, March 8, 2024 in a Station-conducted random drawing from all combined eligible text message entries received that weekday. Potential Prize winners will be notified by phone promptly following the random drawing.

Non-selected entries will not rollover into subsequent weekday’s random drawings, if any.

  1. Odds of winning a Prize depend on the number of eligible text messages entries received for each weekday’s random drawing.
  2. Entrants must listen to the Station for the Song airings, but need not be present to win a Prize.
  3. Decisions of Station management with respect to the Contest are final.

  1. The Station reserves the right to end any contest or amend these rules upon announcement on air and by publication at www.hot969boston.com.
  1. For website contests: By use of the Station’s website and by entering this Contest, entrants agree to the Station’s Terms of Service Agreement and to the use of Personal Information as stated in the Privacy Policy located at www.hot969boston.com.

Usher: 7 Sexiest Instagram Posts

While Usher is great to listen to, he’s also not bad to look at either. Even after all these years, Usher is still giving us the same visuals we fell in love with when he dropped Confessions back in 2010. During his live performances, he is always putting on a show. We can’t wait for one of the largest gigs of his career coming up in a couple of months.

Usher At The 2024 Super Bowl

While Usher has been doing his thing during his Las Vegas residency and performing several festivals over the summer, he is now going to take his talents to the world’s largest stage: The Super Bowl. Last month it was announced that Usher will be staying in his second home of Las Vegas a little bit longer as he will be the Super Bowl LVIII headliner.

“It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list,” Usher said in a press release. “I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before. Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon.”

Jay-Z, who signed a multi-year partnership with the NFL through his label Roc Nation, praised Usher’s longstanding legacy in the music industry.

“Usher is the ultimate artist and showman. Ever since his debut at the age of 15, he’s been charting his own unique course. Beyond his flawless singing and exceptional choreography, Usher bares his soul,” said JAY-Z. “His remarkable journey has propelled him to one of the grandest stages in the world. I can’t wait to see the magic.

Usher’s new album Coming Home, will also be released on the day of the Super Bowl: February 11, 2024.  Songs such as “Good Good,” “Boyfriend,” and “GLU” will be featured on the album.

He is also reportedly going on tour after the Super Bowl in support of his new album so you just might be able to witness these sexy Instagram looks in person.

    Paris Fashion Week never looked this good. The Confessions creator attended the luxury designer event earlier this year and he did not come to play. Usher wore several outfits over the course of the week including a black and blue blazer, a tan leather suit, and even switched up his hair color to an orange during his time overseas.

    It’s the confidence for us. One of Usher’s greatest traits is that he knows how to put a fit on. He wore leather joggers with a loose oversized white tank and a matching jacket. But, it was truly the accessories that made the outfit even sexier. The white shoes, diamond chains, and oversized sunglasses brought the outfit to the next level.

    We love a shirtless moment. This photo is from his annual Lovers and Friends Festival which is hosted in Vegas every year. If Usher has more moments like this on stage next year, we are ready to pack our bags and head over to Sin City.

    There’s something about Usher on this motorcycle that does something for us! The Grammy-winner was the cover star for Zeit Magazin, which is a Germany-based publication. In this Instagram post, Usher also showed more shots from the photoshoot, such as a shirtless photo with him in dress pants, him in an all-black outfit standing next to a car, and a playful shot of him sticking his tongue out. (Don’t mind us just hopping on a flight to Germany to pick up a copy).

    Usher recreated his “Nice & Slow” single cover in honor of its 25th anniversary and we can’t tell the 1997 version from this 2022 photo. In both photos he is wearing his iconic “U” chain as he poses shirtless (thank you for that, Usher). And to answer his question in the caption, at 7 pm on the dot, Usher was in his “drop top, cruising the streets.”

    If one thing Usher still has its his “IT” factor. He performed one of his latest songs “GLU” at the Dreamville festival back in April when he so conveniently took off his shirt before performing. Let’s just say we have suddenly forgotten all the words.
