An Evening of Love
Brian McKnight -One of the most consistent and versatile adult contemporary R&B artists, Brian McKnight placed ten albums over two decades — from the early ’90s through the early 2010s — within the Top Ten of Billboard’s R&B albums chart.
K-Ci & JoJo – Cedric and Joel Hailey comprise the romantic R&B duo K-Ci & JoJo who were one of two pairs of brothers who made up the chart-topping ’90s group Jodeci. But the single that really broke them big was the sweet ballad “All My Life,” which went all the way to number one on both the pop and R&B charts.
Christopher Williams – The Virginia native, not only a singer but an arranger and producer as well, surfaced during the tail-end of the ’80s, around the middle of the new jack swing era. “Talk to Myself” and “Promises, Promises,” a pair of Billboard Top Ten R&B singles made with Timmy Gatling and Alton Wolkie Stewart marked his arrival.
Al B. Sure – With debut album “in Effect Mode” released in the late 80’s, became a platinum –selling sensation with single “Nite and Day” which reached top ten on the pop charts and topped the R&B charts as well. He became a bona fide star among urban audiences.
