In Beeban Kidron’s 1995 classic film To Wong Foo starring Patrick Swayze, Wesley Snipes, and John Leguizamo the notion of a “Say Something Hat Day,” was brought up.

“I think tomorrow is a ‘Say Something Hat Day,'” Swayze says in the box-office hit film, referring to hats that make a statement.

And singer Erykah Badu who has been dubbed the Queen of neo-soul is definitely also the Queen of  “Say Something Hat Day.” Throughout the “Window Seat” singer’s career, she’s been known to often grace the stage in hats that “say something.”

In honor of Badu’s bold and eclectic hat choices that go “On & On”, we’ve created a gallery to celebrate Badu and her head fashion. Below, take a look at each time Badu has served us a “Say Something Hat Day.”
