There aren’t many places in Massachusetts that you’d call “cheap” when it comes to rent and mortgage payments.
Sure, Boston is exorbitantly high, as are a number of the surrounding towns. But if you look in the right places, renting an apartment can be “cheaper” than the norm.
Rent.com did a recent survey and found where the cheapest towns are in the Bay State when it comes to living. These numbers are based on the average monthly rent of a one bedroom apartment.
