Many of us fly because it's more convenient and faster for us to get where we're going. Many times, we are flying to get to an event like a wedding or a cruise. This would make any sort of flight delay a little inconvenient for us, thus causing us to get ANGRY. What do we do in 2023 when we get angry? We go on Twitter to complain, many times tagging the airport and/or airline to get their attention so we can get some sort of compensation. It is with this information, that the survey of the angriest airports in America was taken.
Forbes came out with the list earlier this month and are using strictly Twitter analysis to determine its findings. A few things they discovered: More than half of people who tag an airport in a tweet are angry. The three most used words in those tweets are delay, security and hours. The least angry passengers come from Indianapolis, Seattle-Tacoma and Kansas City airports.
Over 37,000 tweets were analyzed in the month of March to determine the findings of this survey and the 60 busiest airports were determined based on the number of passenger boardings. So where does Boston Logan airport come in on this list of 60 airports? You'll have to keep scrolling to find out. Either way, there was only one other airport in New England that actually appeared on the list and that was Bradley International Airport in Hartford. Bradley landed at #30 so right in the middle of angriest airports. 52% of the tweets coming in from Bradley were angry with the most common used words being: Travelers, Security, Bag, Expanding, Canceled.
