The husband of missing Cohasset woman, Ana Walshe, has been arrested. It's the story that's got everyone stumped. It even made national news. How did a woman from Cohasset leave her home and never return? We just learned about the disappearance of Ana Walshe last week, days after she went missing. Since then, there has been tons of speculation and questions. Why did it take son long for her husband to report her missing? Why was her husband supposedly sleeping when his wife was set to get on a plane? If he was sleeping, how did he know if she got into her ride share that night? Below is a timeline of events and what we know so far about the investigation into Ana Walshe's disappearance.

April 1, 2021

Ana's husband Brian pleaded guilty to charges related to an attempt to scam a Los Angeles buyer using fake Andy Warhol paintings. He is currently still awaiting sentencing.

December 27, 2022

According to the Boston Globe, Ana plans to visit long time friend Carrie Westbrook in Washington D.C.  Ana texts Carrie to let her know she will be delayed in that visit. The friends agree to delay their visit to January 5, 2023.

January 1, 2023

Ana Walshe is allegedly last seen by a family member around 4am. Police say Ana, who regularly commuted to Washington D.C., had a flight booked for January 3rd but told others that she had to fly down on Jan. 1 to handle an emergency at a property that she manages. She did have bags with her. Her plan was to take a ride share to the airport. Her husband Brian was allegedly sleeping at the time she left the house. Police did confirm she did not get on the flight however they have yet to confirm if a ride share was even called. The last time Ana used her phone was on New Year's Day. 

January 4, 2023

Ana Walshe is reported missing by her husband Brian. Police confirmed the news via her husband and her employer.

January 5, 2023

Cohasset police confirm that Ana is indeed missing. They do a search of her home and her home in Washington D.C. At this point, police confirm her husband Brian is cooperating with the investigation.

January 6, 2023

Police launch another searchfrom the parking lot of the Stop & Shop near the Cohasset home. Search is conducted with canines and State Police Air Wing.

Friday, January 6

A fire breaks out at the home Ana Walshe used to own at  725 Jerusalem Road in Cohasset.  Cohasset Police Chief William Quigley says it is “a very strange coincidence" and that the fire is not suspicious as it started near damaged piping close to a natural gas fireplace.

January 7, 2023

The search in and around Walshe's Cohasset home resumes. It resumed until around 4:30pm with a search of the pool. The search stops and police say  “the ground search will not resume unless police develop new information that so warrants it.”

January 8, 2023

Police return to Walshe's Cohasset home around 9am. Pictures are taken of a car near the property according to Boston 25. 

Hiking gear is seen being removed from the home. A large plastic container is seen being removed from the home in early evening.

January 8, 2023

Police arrest Ana's husband Brian for misleading police in the investigation. Police say they have probable cause to believe he purposely mislead investigators. Brian will be arraigned this morning in Quincy District Court.
