Dj Cassidy has been making a name for himself during the Covid 19 quarantine. He created this concept of Pass the Mic. Since concerts were unavailable during that time, Dj Cassidy brought the concert vibe to your home. Seeing old artist perform songs that you haven’t heard in a while was a great concept. Tonight after the BET Hip Hop Awards this will be his last installment of the series which airs tonight after the BET Hip Hop Awards at 9pm. This is according to Vibe.com. Since Dj Cassidy started this genre, he has produced 10 episodes, featuring 220 icons, who have performed 166 hits. Dj Cassidy stated; “When I created ‘Pass The Mic’ in July 2020 I sought to celebrate our everyday heroes by uniting my musical heroes in the greatest singalong of all time. Millions of people around the globe have now united around the most iconic artists and songs of all time to pass the mic in unison. I am so honored to be celebrating my Hip Hop heroes in this final edition of the series.”

The last installment is similar to the music you hear on Hot 969. 1990 and 2000s hip hop will be on full display tonight. Hip Hop veterans such as Redman, Raekwon, Remy Ma, RZA, Styles P, Swizz Beatz, Too $hort, Xzibit, Warren G and more.

The BET Awards was pre-taped last Friday and will air tonight. The event was held at the Atlanta’s Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre and their were no incidents of violence. Fat Joe will host the show. Trina, who is the star of Love and Hip Hop Miami, will be honored with the I Am Hip Hop Awards. There will be performance’s by Montana, Joey Bada$$, N.O.R.E, Pusha T, Armani White, Bleu, EST Gee, GloRilla, Moneybagg Yo and more.
