Jay-Z is continuing to build his empire. This time he’s decided to invest in a black-owned vegan cookie company.
Jay’s Marcy Venture Partners contributed $1 million investment into Partake Foods, based out of New Jersey.
Partake was founded by former Coca-Cola national sales director, Denise Woodard, as a way to deal with her daughter’s food allergies.
Partake Foods’ vegan cookies can be found in 300 stores right now. Woodard says she intends to use the $1 million investment from Jay-Z to expand the brand even more.
