Jermaine Dupri Clarifies ‘Billboard’ Hot 100 Tweet
Early Wednesday morning (Aug. 7), producer Jermaine Dupri took to Twitter to share his thoughts regarding the current Billboard Hot 100 chart.

“No!! You can’t sit with us, got sit over there and based on the stats and this chart @mariahcarey is the greatest songwriter in history,” Dupri tweeted along with a screenshot of a tweet that Billboard shared of a list that featured songs with the “most weeks spent at No. 1 on the #Hot100.”
The screenshot had Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” at the top of the list next to number 18. Carey’s “One Sweet Day” was underneath the aforementioned next to the number 16.
Apparently, some Twitter users thought that Dupri was throwing shade at Lil Nas X, but hours later he hopped back on the social media platform to clarify his tweet.

The producer tweeted lyrics from Jay-Z, ” Ni**a mad when I brag about the stats I got But I’m used to not having a lot.”
