Drake Enlists Morgan Wallen For ‘You Broke My Heart’ Music Video
Drake dropped the new music video for “You Broke My Heart.” The music video finds controversial country star Morgan Wallen helping Drizzy get over a breakup. The video begins with the two of them sitting at a table in a restaurant, talking.
“I gotta tell you,” Wallen says to Drake.
“Tell me. I know you want to say it,” Drake says as he chuckles and sips his glass.
“I think she might have been the wrong girl anyway,” Wallen tells Drake.
“Well, what now?” the rapper asks, adding, “I’m kind of glad she’s gone.”
The two cheer with their glasses before Drake suggests that they go out to look for other girls.
“Let’s see what else is out there. That’s what we need to do,” the “Slime You Out” rapper says.
Once they get in the car, dancers Grace Matthews and Taylor Morris decide to blow up their car and go bar for bar in the street, yelling the vengeful lyrics “F— my ex.”
This video is the fourth video Drake has released for his For All The Dogs and deluxe For All The Dogs: Scary Edition Version. He released “Polar Opposites,” as well as “First Person Shooter,” which features J. Cole, and “Another Late Night” with Lil Yachty.
As for Wallen, this is his second time in a music video with a hip-hop artist. He collaborated with Lil Durk for their No. 1 song, “Broadway Girls,” earlier this year.
Morgan Wallen In Hip-Hop
Wallen previously expressed interest in working with other rappers in the future and specifically mentioned Kendrick Lamar. “I do love Moneybagg [Yo]. He’s definitely at the top of the list,” Wallen said on Druski’s Clubhouse chat per XXL. “But like overall, ever…I’m trying to think of not just in the past little bit. Kendrick Lamar would be pretty cool.”
Back in 2021, a video of Wallen using the N-word was posted, which he later apologized for.
“There’s no excuse. I’ve never made an excuse. I never will make an excuse,” Wallen told TMZ.
