Megan Thee Stallion Announces New Album & Tour
Hotties, get ready! Megan Thee Stallion will be dropping a new album and heading on tour this summer.
“Oh, we’re having the tour this year. The Hot Girl Summer tour is going to be 2024, summertime,” she said on Good Morning America on Tuesday (Jan. 30). “I feel like I’ve never been able to be outside doing my own thing during the summer, since like 2019.”
In addition to the tour, the rapper also announced that she will be dropping her third studio album in time for the summer tour.
In her interview, she also touched on how the last couple of years of her personal life have been. Without going into specifics, the Houston native said how times have been “rough” for her and that she’s been “tired” but ultimately did not want to give up on her music.
Tory Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison in August 2023 after shooting Megan in the foot back in 2020.
Megan Thee Stallion Aims For Nicki Minaj On “HISS”
More recently, with the drop of her song “HISS” last Friday (Jan. 26), she has reignited her feud with Nicki Minaj. The Traumazine rapper came for the New York native’s husband with the bar: “These hoes don’t be mad at Megan, these hoes mad at Megan’s Law/ I don’t really know what the problem is, but I guarantee y’all don’t want me to start,” the Houston native raps.
“Megan’s Law” is a federal law that requires registered sex offenders’ information to be available to the public. Clearly, it is a dig at Nicki’s husband, Kenneth Petty, who is a registered sex offender. Petty was sentenced to three years probation in July 2022 for failing to register in California as a sex offender. He and Minaj moved to California from New York, where he was initially registered. In 1995, Petty was convicted of the first-degree attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl. He spent four years in prison in New York.
Nicki followed up with released “Big Foot,” on Monday (Jan. 29) with the viral bar: “Bad bitch she like six foot, I call her Big Foot/ The bitch fell off, I said get up on your good foot,” she rapped.
As of this writing, Megan has not responded to Nicki.
