Drake: London OVO Store Vandalized With Kendrick Lamar’s Lyrics
Drake’s London OVO store was vandalized with Kendrick Lamar’s lyrics amid his ongoing feud with the Compton native.
Photos of Drake’s store circulated online Tuesday (May 7) of the storefront window with graffiti reading “they not like us.” The lyric is the last line from Kendrick’s latest diss track, so far, against Drake on “Not Like Us.”
At the time of publishing, no one has been arrested or has taken credit for the tagging of the store.
Drake’s Security Guard Shot Outside Of Rapper’s Toronto Home
Drake’s OVO store being tagged is the second incident that happened to the rapper on Tuesday. The For All The Dogs rapper’s Toronto home was targeted in a shooting that left his security guard with serious injuries, according to Toronto Police Inspector Paul Krawczyk in a Tuesday press conference.
Krawczyk didn’t confirm if Drake was in the house at the time of the shooting, but he has been working with the rapper’s team during the investigation. While this incident also happened in the wake of Drake’s weekslong feud with Kendrick Lamar, when Krawczyk was asked if the tension between the rappers had anything to do with the shooting, he said that no motive has been determined at this time.
How Did The Feud Begin?
Kendrick addressed how he feels on from Future and Metro Boomin’s We Don’t Like You. “Yeah, get up with me, f— sneak dissing/’First Person Shooter,’ I hope they came with three switches,” Kendrick raps.
He adds, referencing J. Cole and Drake’s lyrics on “First Person Shooter”: “Think I won’t drop the location? I still got PTSD/Motherf— the Big 3, n—-, it’s just big me.”
“N—-a, bum, what? I’m really like that/And your best work is a light pack/N—-, Prince outlived Mike Jack’/N—-, bum, ‘fore all your dogs gettin’ buried/That’s a K with all these nines, he gon’ see Pet Sematary n—-, bum,” he raps.
Ever since Kendrick’s guest verse on “Like That,” the two have been taking lyrical shots at one another. The Compton native claims that Drake is a pedophile, has ghostwriters, and doesn’t claim an alleged 11-year-old daughter.
As for Drake, he claims that Kendrick’s kids aren’t his and are actually Dave Free’s, the former president of Top Dawg Entertainment whom K. Dot was signed to for 10 years. Additionally, Drizzy claims that Kendrick is physically abusive to his wife and that he cheats on her as well. The last diss track in the feud thus far is Drake’s “The Heart Part 6.” Listen to it below:
