It’s National BBQ Day, Could You Eat The Feed Bag Shovel At K.C.’s Rib Shack?
It’s National BBQ day and time to celebrate all things cued! If you love eating barbecued meats than today is your day. If you don’t feel like doing the work and would prefer to have it done for you there are tons of BBQ joints all over New England.
There’s been an explosion of barbecue eateries in the past decade or so located all over the Greater Boston area.
Boston Magazine listed the best in our area and they all look like great places to get your fix with all the “fixins”. You would be happy at all of them but, as far as we can see they do not offer a real shovel full of meat. That’s where K.C.’s Rib Shack in Manchester, NH comes in.
The Feed Bag Shovel Of Meat
K.C.’s offers one heck of a challenge to all barbecue lovers, “The Feedbag Shovel” that you can quite literally shovel the food into your mouth with.
It comes to your table with stuffed with all of K.C.’s best barbecued meats, and lots of it. For $90 dollars here’s what you get in a shovel full according to the menu;
- THE FEEDBAG SHOVELFeeds 3-5 people, so much food we’ve got to bring it your table in a feed shovel, 1 rack of ribs, 1/2 lb, each of pulled pork, beef brisket, pulled chicken, sausage, two 16 oz, sides and 4 cornbread, no substitutions$90
K.C.’s Rib Shack was featured on a recent episode of Chronicle on WCVB Ch 5. The owner, Kevin says it’s a very popular menu item but it’s very rare that anyone person could eat all the contents by themselves in a single setting. People consider it a worthy challenge with the good news being you can take the rest home with you if you can’t finish it, or empty the shovel.
I have been to K.C.’s and have never been disappointed in any meal that I have ever ordered. You too will will enjoy all they have to offer, and if you order the Feed bag shovel, be sure to ask for extra napkins and plenty of doggy bags to go.
