Eminem's Megan Thee Stallion Reference

However, many listeners noted that he is going back to the 2002 version of himself and is taking unapologetic shots at everybody -- including his own kids! One line in particular, however, was seen in bad taste by many. Eminem raps, "If I was to ask for Megan Thee Stallion would she collab with me? Would I really have a shot at a feat?" In the music video, he also points a finger gun out and points it down left to right toward his feet.

Meg Lyrics Angers Fans

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), fans noted the diss and either applauded Em for being a savage or found it in bad taste. One person said, "M&m had to use Megan for clout since he’s pushing 60 and isn’t relevant anymore." Another wrote: "Another rapper mentioning Megan unprovoked. She really winning." A third said, "Him and Nicki Minaj have a obsession of making fun of black women trauma and abuse they both need to seek help that’s why they are flopping."

Criticizing what they thought were weak lyrics, another fan said, "imagine bringing up someone’s trauma AND it’s not even a bar [melting emoji]." Calling out his age, one person said, "He’s grown enough to be her dad this was lame and embarrassing especially at his big age that’s why he fell off [laughing emojis]." Another called him out for his choice of target, "Wuda been funny in 2003. Sum bout an old white guy going at a young black woman not sitting right. He ain have no bars for Diddy or Benzino?"

Meanwhile, those who supported the award-winning rapper pointed out this is nothing new for him. One person wrote, "In 2002 Eminem did an Osama Bin Laden skit in 'Without Me' video right in the deep of 9/11 fallout & the Bush declaring war. A man sending the US videos of war words in a cave daily he made a joke. So you really think in 2024 he cares about that girl [gun emoji] feet. [laughing emoji]" Another wrote, "He owned her ngl." A few folks didn't see him as taking any shots at her and wrote things like, "I don’t think that was a diss." While another proclaimed, "Isn’t this the reason Eminem is the greatest rapper of all time."
