There were rumors Jaylen was walking around the casino but now thanks to the power of Instagram stories, we know he was. Jaylen and some family members and friends were there til wee hours of Tuesday morning.
The Celtics love playing at Encore
Members of the Celtics love playing at Encore Boston Harbor. Many of them have been seen at the casino in past and in fact, Jaylen Brown held a charity fundraiser there some time ago. Jayson Tatum has also been seen there on different occasions.

Celtics partied until wee hours of the morning
The team took their party over to Big Night Live next to the Garden late Monday night. According to Big Night Live's Instagram story, Jayson Tatum addressed the crowd with a famous Kanye quote "I know everybody was wondering what would happen if we didn't win. I guess we'll NEVER KNOW." Of course this quote was from Kanye's 2005 Grammy speech after winning Best Rap Album for The College Dropout. The team partied at Big Night Live for some time before at the very least Jaylen Brown made it over to Encore. Champagne was definitely flowing.
And as for the parade, it will start at 11am and will leave from the Garden. There will be around 25 duck boats carrying players, personnel, family and friends.
The Boston Celtics have won Banner 18! It has been a long roller coaster of a season but it's been well worth it. Clinching a record setting 18th banner is something that seemed inevitable for the Celtics who were the best team in the NBA all season long. The team won 64 games in the regular season and only lost 3 games TOTAL in the post season. You could most definitely tell that 2024 was the year of the Boston Celtics.
The Garden was electric
If you had an opportunity to go to Game 5, you will remember that for the rest of your life. I have never seen the Garden that loud and the energy was inspiring. From the opening tip off, to Payton Pritchard nailing a 3 point shot from half court to end the half, there was a lot to scream about at the Garden. Banner 18 ironically comes exactly 16 years after the Celtics' last championship, which they won on June 17, 2008.
Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown finally get it done
There was a lot of talk last season to split these two up. They've been together since 2017 and they have NEVER missed the playoffs. After the Celtics' loss in the Eastern Conference Finals last season, many Celtics fans and analysts alike were calling for them to be split. Many believed the two would never be able to win a championship together. That was certainly proven wrong last night. And either one of them could've been crowned the Finals MVP which eventually went to Jaylen Brown.
After experiencing such a masterful win, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite moments of the night. These are my 6 favorite moments from Game 5 of the NBA Finals and the accomplishment of winning Banner 18 for the Celtics and the city of Boston.
Payton Prichard with the buzzer beating half court 3 before the end of the first half
Why they left Pritchard alone is beyond me. Pritchard is known for his clutch 3 pointers and even had a buzzer beating 3 in Game 2. This one got the Garden so loud, probably the loudest I've ever seen it.

Derrick White knocks two teeth loose and chips one fighting for possession
Late in the second quarter, Derrick White was diving for a loose ball. It was then that Mavericks’ Dereck Lively II rolled onto his head and you could see D White face down on the floor. The refs called a time out quickly and at that point no one knew he'd chipped teeth.
Jayson Tatum with the "and 1" to light up the Garden
Jayson Tatum may not have had the numbers in this series, but he definitely showed out Game 5. This play, captured by Melissa was one that got Tatum as excited as he would be all night.
The Celtics are crowned NBA Champions, the presentation of the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy
It's been a long time coming. But being in the Garden for this moment was surreal. Congratulations to the Boston Celtics on Banner 18 and to Jaylen Brown for Finals MVP.
"Gino Time" was in full effect at the Garden last night after the 18th banner was won!
If you're a true Celtics fan, you know what "Gino Time" is. In a blow out win, Gino comes out in full force. Here is Gino coming out after the Celtics won Banner 18!
Causeway Street was certainly a MOVIE!
Melissa was outside on Causeway Street after the game. There were thousands of fans partying in the street. Some were even doing pull ups on street signs.
