One Of Our Listeners, A Salem Resident, Won $1 Million! This can’t be real life. Imagine you walk into a convenience store to purchase a scratch ticket and you realize you have a winning number. And when you scratch the winning number’s prize, it says you’ve just won $1 million! That just happened to Salem, MA own Michael Pereira.
Pereira is one of our listeners (Hot 96.9) who regularly participates in our contests, specifically our $96,000 Birthday Payday. He messages us frequently and this morning, he told us the amazing news. “I figured since it is public knowledge as of yesterday I would send you this” and then he proceeded to send a picture of himself with the gigantic check:
Michael says the ticket was the $10 $4 Million Mayhem and that he asked the clerk at the store which happens to be a good friend to just pick some random tickets for him. He chose the lump sum and after taxes he’ll be taking home a little over $460,000.

Michael plans on helping his mother and brother out and purchasing a new car since his died last month. He’s purchasing an Acura TLX type S.
