Delta Airlines Offering New Direct Flights from Boston to Europe in 2025
Delta Airlines is adding new direct flights from Boston’s Logan International Airport to Europe starting in 2025.
Per Delta, the new direct flights from Logan International are to Milan, Italy and Barcelona, Spain. These new direct flights will begin in May 2025. There will be four weekly flights to Milan and three weekly flights to Barcelona. Milan and Barcelona join Rome, Italy and Dublin, Ireland on the list of cities that have direct Delta flights from Logan International.
In a statement, Massport’s Director of Aviation Ed Freni said, “Delta has been an excellent partner to Logan for many years and we are thrilled about their new routes to Milan and Barcelona as part of their trans-Atlantic expansion in summer 2025. These new services will provide our passengers with more travel opportunities and further strengthen our ties between New England and the many regions of Europe.”
On top of the new direct flight offerings, Delta is opening a new Delta One Lounge inside Logan International. Delta Senior Vice President of Network Planning Joe Esposito said in a statement, “We’ve also recently opened a stunning Delta One Lounge at JFK, with more to come at LAX, BOS, and SEA. Alongside the rollout of free international Wi-Fi and increased premium seating across our fleet, we’re ensuring our customers enjoy the best in connectivity and comfort from the moment they arrive at the airport to when they touch down.”
JetBlue Opening Lounge at Logan International Airport
News of Delta’s new Delta One Lounge follows JetBlue announcing last week that they are opening lounges for the first time in its history, and one of their first lounges will be in Logan Internation.
As previously reported, the JetBlue lounge at Logan International will be located in Terminal C and is the second lounge from the airliner to open. The first lounge will be in New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport Terminal 5, and it’s currently slated to open in late 2025.
These new lounges are part of JetBlue’s new campaign to offer their customers more premium options when they travel as part of their TrueBlue Mosaic loyalty program. According to AFAR, this campaign will see the rollout of these premium options between 2025 and 2027 to the tune of $400 million.
Additionally, a new premium credit card is part of the new campaign, which will grant holders complimentary lounge access. TrueBlue Mosaic 4 members and Transatlantic Mint customers will also receive complimentary lounge access. JetBlue’s full lounge access policy will be released at a later date.
The JetBlue lounge at Logan International will be 11,000 square feet and feature local and regional artwork. Mixologists will be on hand to make each guest complimentary alcoholic drinks, with a full-service bar also on hand for non-alcoholic drinks and a staffed coffee bar. Free Wi-Fi will be available, as well as ample seating, many private workspaces and outlets for guest to plug in and work or charge their devices. There will also be complementary food offerings available to guests.
