Diddy Faces New Lawsuits, Including Alleged Assault Of A Teen
At least six new lawsuits were filed Monday against Sean “Diddy” Combs, accusing him of sexual assault involving men, women, and a 16-year-old boy, according to a report from CNN.
The suits were filed anonymously by John Doe and Jane Doe plaintiffs in federal court in the Southern District of New York. Allegations in the lawsuits range from rape and sexual assault to drugging drinks. Two of the alleged assaults reportedly occurred at Combs’ White Parties between 1998 and 2006. All six plaintiffs are seeking both compensatory and punitive damages.
These lawsuits are part of an anticipated wave of litigation against Combs, led by Houston-based attorney Tony Buzbee and co-counsel Andrew Van Arsdale. They previously stated they were representing at least 120 alleged victims of Combs, including minors.
“Mr. Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts, their legal defenses, and the integrity of the judicial process,” Combs’ attorneys told CNN. “In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone—adult or minor, man or woman.”
Combs is currently in federal custody, awaiting trial on charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for the purpose of engaging in prostitution in the Southern District of New York. He has pleaded not guilty.
Before Monday, Combs was already facing multiple civil lawsuits accusing him of various forms of sexual misconduct and other illegal activities, which he had previously denied.
One claim involves an alleged assault on a 16-year-old male at a White Party in the Hamptons in 1998. The lawsuit claims Combs “instructed John Doe to drop his pants and expose” himself, calling it a “rite of passage” and a way to “prove himself” on the path to stardom.
The accuser said he “eventually recognized Combs sexually assaulted him by and through his power and influence, knowing John Doe wanted to become a star.”
A second John Doe, who worked security at a White Party in 2006, alleges Combs gave him two drinks laced with drugs before forcing him inside a van and sexually assaulting him. He reported the incident to his boss after leaving the party.
In a third lawsuit against Combs, his businesses, and the retailer Macy’s, John Doe claims he was assaulted in 2008 after encountering Combs and his two bodyguards in the stockroom of Macy’s flagship store in New York. According to the lawsuit, “Combs approached Plaintiff while Plaintiff was still on his hands and knees” and forced him to perform oral sex.
Another complaint involves a 19-year-old college student, identified as Jane Doe, who alleges that she and a female friend were invited to a photoshoot and “exclusive” after-party at Combs’ hotel in 2004. The complaint claims Combs became “more aggressive” and “ordered Ms. Doe’s friend to perform oral sex on him or else he would have them both killed.”
