Baker Details the Next Round of COVID-19 Vaccinations in Massachusetts
Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker announced on Wednesday that residents in congregate settings will be the next to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, starting Monday. These settings include prisons, emergency shelters, group homes, etc.
“These facilities are prioritized because they serve vulnerable populations in densely populated settings, which means they’re at significant risk for contracting COVID-19,” Baker said during the news conference. There are about 94,000 people included in this step of Phase 1.
Phase 2, which includes residents of 65, is expected to start between February and April. The general public, which is Phase 3, will hopefully become available between April and June.
