MBTA Closing Down Green Line From Park Street to Medford for Two Weeks
If you’re taking the C Branch, trains will end at Kenmore going inbound. The B and D Branch trains are still running their usual routes to Cleveland Circle, heading outbound.
Shuttle buses will connect North Station to several stops along the way: Science Park, Lechmere, East Somerville, Gilman Square, Magoun Square, Ball Square, and the final stop in Medford.
If you’re heading to Union Square, you’ll need to take a different bus. You can hop on the 87 bus to get to Lechmere, or take either the 91 or CT2 bus connecting Sullivan Square to Central Square and Ruggles.
You can still get to North Station through other routes. If you’re on the Red Line, switch to the Orange Line at Downtown Crossing, or if you’re on the Blue Line, make the switch at State.
Starting December 15, the new 109 bus will run between Sullivan Square and Harvard Square, taking over from the regular 86 route.
Need to get past Park Street? Just walk over to Downtown Crossing and catch the Orange Line to North Station. From there, you can grab the shuttle buses heading north.
Sullivan Square is a key transfer spot. If you’re on the Orange Line, you can switch to several bus routes: the 91, 109, and CT2 all make stops here.
