Fenty Beauty model Slick Woods recently took to social media and revealed that she has cancer. The 23-year-old shared a photograph of herself on Instagram with her boyfriend Micky Munday and some friends on Wednesday (Nov. 20).
“How I feel about chemotherapy, shout out to everyone that gotta go through it,” she wrote as her caption.
Woods then asserted that she didn’t want to be treated like a “victim.” She posted a photograph of her son Saphir on Instagram following her post about chemotherapy. “Stop treating me like a victim,” Woods wrote as the caption.
Woods also shared another photo of herself on the social media platform comparing herself to the late model Gia Marie Carangi.
“Modern-day Gia without the drugs #justcrazy “where does everyone go when they have to go” I thought I told y’all I’m not no victim,” she wrote as her caption.
The runway model whose given name is Simone Thompson famously went into labor with her son Saphir, which is her first child back in September 2018 following a runway walk during the Savage x Fenty runway show. She walked the runway in a strappy teddy, thigh-highs, and pasties, as Page Six reported. Paramedics met Woods backstage and hurried her to the nearest hospital.
In addition to being the face of the Fenty Beauty campaign, Woods has done ad campaigns for designers such as Calvin Klein and Moschino as well as walked the runway for brands like Miu Miu, Marc Jacobs, Yeezy, and Fenty x Puma. Woods also appears on VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood.
