GOOD NEWS: 10-year-old helping Kids Coping with COVID-19
Like a lot of kids stuck at home, 10-year-old Sydney was feeling a little hopeless, but with her mom, decided to take action. Sydney and her mom Melissa, who’s a teacher, decided to produce some videos to help other kids. From their living room, they wrote, recorded, and animated Kids Coping with COVID-19. They used the software that Melissa uses in her classroom. So far they’ve done videos on: fun things to do, arranging playdates, and unique ways students can help hospitals around them. One of the suggestions is to email their teachers or schools to ask if they have any personal protective equipment lying around unused in science labs like gloves and goggles. Sydney is hoping that when kids see her videos they’ll feel like they can make a difference in their community.
