Mookie Betts engaged: ‘Putting a ring on my MVP’
Congrats to former Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts. He announced his engagement to his girlfriend of 15 years Brianna Hammonds. Mookie told People Magazing: “Brianna has been by my side since we were teenagers. Together we’ve grown mentally, physically, and spiritually. She is my best friend, mother of my child, my lover, and my soon-to-be wife.” He proposed with a 7-carat diamond last night in Nashville at an awards ceremony where he went to accept the award and asked her to go on stage with him. He got down on one knee and did it. Says Betts “Winning another World Series was great, but putting a ring on my MVP is the real blessing! I am a blessed man.”
