Pusha T Shares His Thoughts On Kanye & Kid Cudi’s Beef
Kanye West and Kid Cudi appear on Pusha T's new album It's Almost Dry, which dropped on Friday (April 22) and Cudi revealed that “Rock N Roll” would be the last song he and Ye will appear on together. And just like the fans, Pusha is also sad about their beef.
“It f—— sucks,” Pusha said to Vulture in a recent interview. “You know Cudi is my f—— brother to the end. Just navigating these relationships, this brotherhood, the arguing … it gets public.”
He continued: “It’s one thing for us to argue. We all argue — that’s not a problem. It gets out there, whether it’s Ye bickering first, or Cudi coming back with what he says. It’s super-f—– up.”
“Rock N Roll” samples Beyoncé’s “1+1” and Pusha described how great the energy was in the studio between Ye and Cudi when they were piecing it together.
“The day we made this record, everybody was so f—— happy,” he said. “Ye’s chopping the Beyoncé sample, Cudi happens to come in that day. We see each other, and I hadn’t seen him in a while. He’s like, ‘I gotta get on a record. Are you crazy?’ Cudi did, like, three or four different references. Beyoncé cleared the sample. There was so much great energy around the making of that record.”
Earlier last week, “THE SCOTTS” rapper took to Twitter to let fans know that “Rock N Roll” would be his last song with Ye.
“I did this song a year ago when I was still cool w Kanye. I am not cool w that man. He’s not my friend and I only cleared the song for Pusha cuz thats my guy. This is the last song u will hear me on w Kanye,” Hey! So I know some of you heard about the song I got w Pusha. I did this song a year ago when I was still cool w Kanye. I am not cool w that man. He's not my friend and I only cleared the song for Pusha cuz thats my guy. This is the last song u will hear me on w Kanye -Scott
Cudi and Ye had a falling out in February where West expressed that he was upset that the Ohio native was still friends with Pete Davidson, who is currently dating his ex-wife Kim Kardashian. That prompted Ye to tell him he was dropped from his Donda 2 album. Cudi responded: “Too bad I don’t wanna be on ur album u f—– dinosaur hahaha.” West continued the Instagram tirade by posting several Cudi and Davidson memes that have been deleted.
Cudi We talked weeks ago about this. You’re whack for flipping the script and posting this lie just for a look on the internet. You ain’t no friend. BYE
