Drake Breaks a 55 Year-Old Music record
Drake just announced that he has broken a record that lasted for 55 years. Who would of thought that a song by Dj Khaled and Lil Baby called Staying Alive would cause Drake (Aubrey Drake Graham) to surpass the Beatles on the Billboard charts. The song Staying Alive debuted at number 5 on August 20th which caused Drake to beat out the Beatles for having the most top 5 hits in music history. The Beatles had 30. Now Drake has 31. This was according to USA Today.
Drake responded to the news on his Instagram. “Ok I broke my records for the month now me and @stake need you to do your thing Bitcoin 😂” Passing the lengdary rock group is fimilar terrotiry for the Candain rapper. In 2018, Drake beat the Beatles for the most top 10 hits in a single year and the most top 10 hits on Billboard Hot 100 in 2019. This was according to USA Today.
Drake paid homage to the Beatles by getting a tattoo of the band on his arm.

Some of Drakes biggest hits include One Dance, Gods Plan, Nice for What, Passion Fruit and my favorite Hold on I’m Going Home. Will Drake continue this streak. I have to admit, I never expected Drake to be this big. I always thought he was a good rapper but not able to beat out the Beatles for the most top 10 singles ever.
Drake is making some big money off these songs. According to Complex.com, “Drake earned the fourth-most among his peers with $50 million. Jay-Z sits atop the list after making a reported $470 million last year, nearly doubling Kanye West’s earnings of $250 million. Diddy settled into third after grossing $75 million.”
Some of that money isn’t based solely on music. Drake has business ventures with Apple Music, Nike and Nocta. Those are just a few endorsements.
