Over the weekend, Lifetime premiered Where Is Wendy Williams? giving fans an update on the star's life amid the cancellation of her eponymous talk show. The Wendy Williams Show aired for nearly 14 years before coming to an end in 2022. The two-part docuseries was filmed between August 2022 and April 2023 and follows her health conditions. Before the docuseries, she was reportedly diagnosed with aphasia and dementia.

"In 2023, after undergoing a battery of medical tests, Wendy was officially diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia (FTD)," her team wrote in a statement, per TMZ. "Wendy would not have received confirmation of these diagnoses were it not for the diligence of her current care team, who she chose, and the extraordinary work of the specialists at Weill Cornell Medicine. Receiving a diagnosis has enabled Wendy to receive the medical care she requires."

They conclude: "Wendy is still able to do many things for herself. Most importantly, she maintains her trademark sense of humor and is receiving the care she requires to make sure she is protected and that her needs are addressed. She is appreciative of the many kind thoughts and good wishes being sent her way."

Fans React To Where Is Wendy Williams?

During the docuseries, fans were able to see how Williams is dealing with her Graves' Disease and Lymphedema.

"Watching #WhereIsWendyWilliams is heartbreaking. The Netflix movie about conservatorships comes to mind. Whoever the court appointed to care for her is NOT caring for HER. I bet they’re caring for her money though. I bet THEY are getting paid and WELL," actress Yvette Nicole Brown.

"This documentary is showcasing her rock bottom and I think it’s very inappropriate how this is being produced. There’s a way to tell her story while maintaining her dignity. This is not it. #WhereIsWendyWilliams," a fan wrote.

"Not once during that documentary was Wendy eating food while in her house. And we supposed to believe Will has her best interest #WhereIsWendyWilliams," a fan wrote criticizing her manager.

"Wendy Williams always used her platform to help put me in a position to win. This documentary saddens me. Wendy you will forever be loved & respected by me & I haven’t stopped praying for you… the Queen of Media!" actress Tami Roman wrote.

Where Is Wendy Williams can be viewed on Lifetime.
