The GetUp Crew

This time of year, there are two types of people. The “Summer’s Not Over” people who refuse to pull out the pumpkins just yet. And the “Happy Fall Ya’ll” people who are ready for Halloween, pumpkin spice lattes, and apple picking. You’re either one or the other. If you’re one of the former, there are some great September Boston festivals to help you squeeze the last few bits of fun out of summer.

Summer in Boston can be a lot of fun. There are so many options for outdoor activities, beach fun, and if you ask me, the best part – summer food! You can explore the city like a tourist on one of the many tours like: the Hop on Hop Off Sightseeing Tour, the Freedom Trail, or the Boston Harbor Cruise. If you’re an animal lover, you can go to The Franklin Park or Stone Zoo, go on a whale watch, or cool off at the New England Aquarium. And nothing says summer like eating (and drinking) outside on a patio.

Summer’s not over people! The first official day of Fall isn’t until September 23rd, so there’s still time to live out your summertime dreams. For those of you with kids, it may feel like the end of summer with your kiddos heading back to school. But it doesn’t have to be. If the weather holds up, and it looks like it’s going to, there are still many days to get out there and enjoy the warmth and sunshine.

One of the most fun things about summer are the festivals, and they’re not over yet. There are still some great ones happening in the month of September. Festivals for seafood, art, and open space lovers are coming this month. So don’t give up on summer just yet. Here are some Boston September summer festivals to check out.
