Glassdoor Named THESE The Best Places To Work In Boston

As the great resignation continues, and SO many people are considering a career change, consider this: Earlier this year, the self-proclaimed “worldwide leader on insights about jobs and companies,” Glassdoor, named these 9 Boston based businesses as the best places to work. The full list actually revealed the 100 Best Places to Work in 2022. But, let’s focus on our little world for a minute.

These 9 companies range from software to investment firms, research to marketing. According to Glassdoor, their full list is based on information from employees at these companies. They were permitted to anomymously give honest feedback and submit reviews, rating their employers and furnishing insights into the workplace and specific jobs.

So, let’s get to it. Glassdoor named these companies the best places to work in Boston in 2022. All these companies were name as Glassdoor’s winners of their 14th annual Employees’ Choice Awards, as reported to WHDH News.

 

  • HubSpot

    Rank in the Top 100: #2

    Rating: 4.6 (out of 5)

    The Cambridge based company was born at MIT by students Brian Halligan and Dharmesh Shah in 2006. HubSpot is an inbound marketing and sales software company that helps other businesses attract visitors, convert their leads, and close customers.

  • Bain and Company

    Rank in the Top 100: #3

    Rating: 4.6

    Bain and Company is a “global consultancy that helps the world’s most ambitious change makers define the future. Across 64 offices in 39 countries, we work alongside our clients as one team with a shared ambition to achieve extraordinary results, outperform the competition and redefine industries,” according to their website mission statement.  One of the largest management consultant companies, Bain was founded in 1973 and it’s headquarters are on Dartmouth Street in Boston. 

  • Boston Consulting Group

    Rank in the Top 100: #6

    Rating: 4.5

    This global management consulting firm was founded in 1963 in Boston and is “one of the Big Three — the world’s three largest management consulting firms by revenue — along with Bain & Company and McKinsey & Company.” (Wikipedia)

  • Akamai

    Rank in the Top 100: #17

    Rating: 4.4

    Founded in 1998 and based in Cambridge, Akamai Technologies, Inc. is content delivery network, cloud service and cybersecurity company. They offer web and Internet security services. 

  • MathWorks

    Rank in the Top 100: #22

    Rating: 4.4

    According to their LinkedIn profile, “MathWorks is the leading developer of mathematical computing software. Engineers and scientists worldwide rely on its products to accelerate the pace of discovery, innovation, and development.” It’s a privately held corporation that was founded in 1984 and is headquartered in Natick, Massachusetts. 

  • Boston Scientific

    Rank in the Top 100: #52

    Rating: 4.3

    Boston Scientific, according to their website, “is dedicated to transforming lives through innovative medical solutions that improve the health of patients around the world. Our work is guided by core values that define Boston Scientific culture and empower our employees.” The biomedical/biotechnology engineer firm is known  worldwide for the development of the Taxus Stent, a drug-eluting stent which is used to open clogged arteries. 

    The company was founded in 1979 in Watertown, and is now based in Marlboro, Massachusetts.

  • Curriculum Associates

    Rank in the Top 100: #53

    Rating: 4.3

    Curriculum Associates was “founded by four passionate educators with a mission to make classrooms better places for teachers and students,” as stated on their website. Based in North Billerica, CA has offices and remote employess all over the country and have been awarded many recognitions as a top employer.

     

  • Fidelity Investments

    Rank in the Top 100: #59

    Rating: 4.3

    According to Forbes, “Fidelity Investments is one of the largest mutual fund companies in the U.S. Headquartered in Boston, the firm offers financial products and services to more than 40 million individuals. Founded by Edward Johnson II in 1946, the company is still managed by the family who own 49% of the company. Fidelity employees own the remaining 51% of the company. In 2015, the company named Abigail Johnson as CEO. She succeeded her father, Edward Johnson III, who had been CEO since 1977.”

  • Forrester

    Rank in the Top 100: #68

    Rating: 4.3

    Forrester decribes their organization as “a leading global market research company that helps organizations exceed customer demands and excel with technology.” Founded in 1983, by George Forrester Colony, he now serves as chairman of the board and chief executive officer, in Cambridge.
