I love diners. I love how you can roll in no matter how you’re looking that day. I love that you can find out everything that’s going on in town just by sitting at the counter. I love how nice – or salty – the people who work there are, either way it just feels right inside the confines of the diner. And most of all I love the food!! There’s something about pretty much anything on a flattop grill that just makes it taste good. I even love a good crappy diner. It’s all a part of the diner culture – the bad ones make the good ones look even better.
Cosmopolitan did some serious legwork visiting diners like Guy Fieri on a sugar-high (that would be frightening) to comprise the best 24 hour diner in every state. Let’s look at their picks for New England states. We’ll throw in a few extras too. Then we’ll finish off in Massachusetts at a 24 hour diner that serves up the state’s best Reuben.
By the way, since diners serve up loads of comfort food, THIS FOOD was just named Massachusetts’ favorite comfort food. Make a guess then click the link to see if you’re right.
And now, on to the diner love:
