The Atlantic anonymously polled NBA players and asked them which team had the best fans. And guess what Celtics fans? It’s you!
The Celtics got 18% of the vote, beating out the Sacramento (12.1%). Golden State tied with New York fans at 9.7%. Not so fast though…
Boston also ranked high in the “worst fans” part of the poll, finishing 5th behind Charlotte, Detroit, Washington, and Utah.

What to expect from the Celtics this season
Our expert sports guy Leroy has some thoughts on the new season.
“The 2023-2024 season is here and there’s well deserved excitement about the Celtics. Yes, they’ve been a contender for some years now, and even made it to the NBA finals in 2022, but at the end of the day they haven’t been able to win it all. However, this season feels different, and here’s why.
The additions of Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday can’t be praised enough. Sam Cassell as an assistant coach is a good look because of his championship winning history, and his no-nonsense attitude. Former players like Paul Pierce, Rondo, Eddie House, and others hanging around is a positive for building the Celtics brotherhood. The vibe hovering in and around this team is all about getting it done this season!
The biggest obstacle they must overcome is if they’ll show poise and grit when times get tough. That has been their biggest downfall, and until they prove otherwise, it’s fair to doubt them.
At the end of the day this is perhaps the most talented team in the NBA, but talent isn’t enough. From game 1 until hopefully hoisting the championship trophy, they must remain aggressive, show no fear, and treat teams like they don’t belong on the court with them. I believe they will!”

Cancers are homebodies who are some of the best nurturers of the zodiac world. They’re also very loyal which makes them great Celtics fans. Libras are team players and crave balance and harmony. They love attention and are also people-pleasers. That said, Libras are interesting as Celtics fans. They will be engaged in every single game, but will definitely talk sh*t about the mistakes the team made. They’ll also be right back in their seat or in front of the TV when the next game comes on.
