A Woman is Sewing Masks and Hanging them on a “Giving Tree” for Anyone to Take
In times of crises, it’s amazing seeing people go out of their way to help others. Cue in Deb Siggins from Lisbon, Iowa. She has already sewn hundreds of face masks and hung them on a tree near her home for family, friends and neighbors to take.
“My goal was to do 100 for the hospital, but then my friends and family wanted some and it just snowballed,” Siggins told CNN. “It went crazy, I’m getting so many requests from everywhere to the point where I can’t keep up.”
She adds that she doesn’t plan on stopping until the pandemic is over.
