LA Dodgers win the World Series after a player is pulled from the game due to a positive Covid-19 test
The L.A. Dodgers beat the Tampa Bay Rays by a score of 3-1 last night, to win the World Series four games to two.
Dodgers shortstop COREY SEAGER was the MVP.
By the way, Dodgers third baseman JUSTIN TURNER was removed in the eighth inning after testing POSITIVE for COVID-19, which seemed appropriate given this crazy season.
Apparently, a lab was reviewing test results during the game, and as soon as the positive test was noticed, they alerted MLB, which had the Dodgers pull Turner.
Turner, 35, was seen after the game holding the world Series trophy, wearing a mask and hugging a few teammates. There’s no word if anyone else was infected, but Turner says he’s feeling fine.
It’s worth mentioning that L.A. has now won TWO championships in the era of the coronavirus. The L.A. Lakers won the NBA title earlier this month.
