President Trump and First Lady test positive for Covid-19
The President broke the news at nearly 1 AM Friday in DC — saying … “Tonight @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER.”
Melania Trump also tweeted: “As too many Americans have done this year, @potus & I are quarantining at home after testing positive for COVID-19. We are feeling good & I have postponed all upcoming engagements. Please be sure you are staying safe & we will all get through this together.”
This comes just hours after we found out one of the President’s aides, Hope Hicks, had tested positive.
The President is 74 years old is in a high risk category for COVID-19. Melania is only 50.
Doctors suggest a 14 day quarantine for anyone with Covid-19 and the next debate is 14 days away. Whether or not that debate will still happen as planned is remained to be seen.
No word from Joe Biden’s camp if he has been tested.
