Colin and Ava announced the project in June. It’ll be a six-episode limited series written by Michael Starrbury who worked with Ava on her Netflix series When They See Us.
Michael responded to Kaepernick’s praise on Twitter, saying that he was honored to be given the opportunity to portray the activist in the series.
