New Uber requirements starting on Monday
Starting on Monday, they’ll be some changes taking effect with Uber. Uber’s changes follow Lyft’s who recently announced mask requirements.
- Uber drivers will be required to wear a mask and they have to take a selfie in the app to confirm they’re actually wearing one.
- Riders will have a checklist before getting in an Uber that confirms they’ve cleaned their hands and are wearing a mask.
- Riders will also be required to sit in the back seat.
- Uber says they’re planning to suspend the accounts of people who repeatedly break the checklist rules and are currently keeping them in place through June, but could extend them.
