Hugh Grant has been labeled “rude” and a “douche” for his red carpet moment at last night’s Academy Awards. Before we get into the meat and potatoes of Hugh’s interview with Ashley Graham, let’s remind everyone why Hugh Grant was at the Academy Awards in the first place. Hugh had a cameo in the movie “Glass Onion: a Knives Out Mystery.” Now, when we say the word cameo, that’s truly what it is as Hugh was only in the movie for a few seconds. He was playing the partner of Daniel Craig’s character and in the one scene he was in, he opened the door in an apron. Now, let’s fast forward to Hugh Grant’s awkward interview with Ashley Graham during last night’s Academy Awards. It was during the red carpet portion for ABC about 30 minutes before the show. For whatever reason, it seemed as if Hugh was annoyed with Ashley’s line of questioning. Here are the list of questions and Hugh’s awkward answers.

  “Ummmm….well…it’s fascinating…the whole of humanity his here…it’s Vanity Fair.”

• Ashley: "What are you most excited to see tonight?"

• Ashley: "You didn't make it..."

  Hugh: “Ummm I can’t remember…my tailor.”

  Grant rose in fame playing awkward English gents in beloved rom-coms Four Weddings and a Funeral and Notting Hill . On Sunday, the actor brought some of that flavor to the Academy Awards while being interviewed by during ABC's On the Red Carpet Live show.

• Ashley: "What does it feel like to be in Glass Onion?"

  Hugh: “Well I’m barely in it. I’m in it for about 3 seconds.”

  And the 2023 Oscar for the most awkward red carpet moment goes to ... Hugh Grant. The "Love Actually" actor divided viewers on Sunday night after he appeared unimpressed with model and TV presenter Ashley Graham's line of questioning during their pre-show chat.

• Ashlely: "Yeah but still, you showed up and you had fun right?"

  Hugh: “Almost”

  And the award for giving nothing on the red Champagne carpet goes to ... Hugh Grant! Grant could not be arsed to answer the questions coming from ABC red carpet correspondent Ashley Graham including old standbys like "who are you wearing" and "who are you excited to see."

  Hugh: “Yeah”
